Intermediate Apprenticeships are the first level of apprenticeship. They are equivalent to five GCSE passes.
They combine on-the-job training with classroom study. You work towards a work-based learning qualifications such as an NVQ Level 2, Key Skills and in most cases a relevant knowledge-based qualification such as a BTEC.
Employers may ask for two or more GCSE at grade 4 or equivalent qualifications.
